Total paid: $45.17

Total Saved: $83.89

What did I get for that $45??

8 boxes of cereal

8 rolls of cinnamon rolls

8 rolls of grands biscuits

4 boxes of granola bars

6 boxes of brownie mixes

4 bags of cookie mixes

2 taco dinner kits

1 Asian dinner kit

1 multi pack of yogurt

2 bottles of sobe life water

As well as all our “need” items for the week like 3 gallons of milk, fruits and veggies.  I only had to buy a few “need”  items because my freezer and pantry are so well stocked right now.  I could use most of my grocery budget on these great sale items with money left over for some splurges.  Some of these things listed I got for FREE!

The 20 minutes I spent organizing my list and coupons this week were well worth the payoff in savings.  You should try it!

Southern Savers

Some mom who is obviously more obsessed with saving money than me ( if it is possible) posts weekly lists for SEVERAL grocery store chains here in the Southland that matches up coupons to store sales (for FREE- no list to buy). And it is not just regular paper coupons from the newspaper- but on-line coupons you can PRINT and ecoupons that you can LOAD ON YOUR STORE CARD and save a bundle.

Here is my most recent savings tally:

Total before sales and coupons= $113.57

Total after coupons and store card coupons=$63.89

Total Saved= $49.68 or 44%

Not too shabby AND I bought diapers (for overnights), meats and a “need” items to restock my pantry after the move.
