Here are a few fun ideas I found in my recent issues of Parents magazine (a subscription I got for FREE by following a tip I got HERE at one of my favorite mommy blogs):

-bring the kiddie pool inside during the winter months and fill it with plastic balls or other fun toys.  There is no reason the fun has to stop just because the weather turned cooler.

-If you’ve lost some pieces to a shape puzzle, glue on a magnet to the rest of the pieces and use them toy magnets on the fridge.

-create a bracelet or necklace that is your cell-phone number with numbered beads and elastic cord. Keep it in the car for use in crowded places.  When you go to the store or an amusement park- really any public place, if you get separated your kids or store employees will know what number to call to reach you.
