Music to my feet

I have come to the realization that I will never enjoy working out.  I do however enjoy the benefits of exercise, it is just so darned inconvenient that those benefits require me sweating for extended periods of time while subjecting my body to sore muscles and achy joints.

Since having a baby, I find that exercise is a requirement to shed those extra pounds I gained while eating for two during pregnancy (which is a total myth BTW- eating for two- but one I chose to believe).

I’ve managed to carve out time to make my way to the wonderful gym here where we live.  I climb on the chosen instrument of cardio torture and tune into the news or talk show that is on the screens in front of me.

However, today the gym wasn’t so bad.  I actually found myself motivated to work harder and faster on the torture device due to a fun find on itunes.  Podrunner.

    OMG- I am totally with you on the working out thing. Yuck. I *know* that I need to and was actually walking with the kids daily (loved losing some weight) but dang, I just do not have the attention span to want to stick with it. We just got a Wii Fit so maybe that will help.

    I generally need the motivation of a good aerobics class–Jazzercise is my favorite. You get great music, the challenge of new routines, a motivating instructor, and a social outing.
